We would like to share in your in special day.
Whether you’re just dreaming of a church wedding for the future, or well into the planning already, Ridgewood United Methodist Church wants to help and support you.
It’s your wedding. Let us help you make it personal, meaningful, spiritual, and beautiful.
Should you chose to have Pastor Victor Peterson preside over your ceremony, he will invite you to a meeting to help prepare you for married life together. It’s a no-obligation invitation, but one that many couples appreciate. It provides time and space to think about the vows and the difference they will make. If you prefer to use your own Pastor, he would certainly be welcome.
Our Sanctuary is air conditioned and holds 375 people and the aisle is 75 feet long. Your florist is welcome to come and design any floral arrangements you desire. We have a parking lot, street parking and are right across the street from Van Neste Square Memorial Park.
Organ music is the traditional choice for weddings and our Director of Music can advise you on hymns and processional music. We also have a grand piano available.
To accompany the bride’s walk down the aisle, many couples still choose the traditional “Bridal March” by Wagner and Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March”. However, there is scope for other music, so if you would like to explore something different, please discuss it with the Director of Music. We also have the capability to play recorded music. If you prefer to bring in your own organist or musicians that is certainly your option.
Near your wedding day, perhaps a day or two before, you will usually have a rehearsal ceremony with those who are involved.
We are available for any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email us:
