+PROCESSIONAL HYMN: “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing” No. 57
Leader: Many people of God are here, devout pilgrims from all over the world. When we hear the sound, we come. We hear, one after another, in our own mother tongue words spoken, we are thunderstruck. What’s going on? "Aren't they just Galileans? How come we're hearing them talk in our own mother tongues? Like Parthians: Medes, and Elamite, People: French, Italian, Spanish, and German
Leader: Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia,
People: Iraq, Israel, and Turkey Leader: Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene; Immigrants from Rome, both Jews and proselytes; even Cretans and Arabs!
People: People from Ridgewood, Paramus, Fairlawn, and Wyckoff, from Hawthorne, Oradell, Mahwah, Ho-ho-kus, and Allendale, from Glen Rock, Washington, Midland Park, Dumont, Wayne, Ramsey. And Englewood "They're speaking our language, describing God's mighty works!" LEADER: Their minds were spinning; they couldn't make head or tail of any of it. They talked back and forth, confused: PEOPLE: "What's going on here?"
+HYMN OF PRAISE: “See How Great a Flame Aspires” No. 541
During the hymn we come forward to pin the flags of many nations on the cross.
+PRAYER:
O merciful and loving God, breathe your Holy Spirit among us. Surprise us with signs of your presence. Sweep stagnant air with a fresh breeze. Grace us with gifts that are both ordinary and mysterious. Give us courage to use them in our church and neighborhood as we practice your gospel. Inspire our time together with the unswerving exhilaration of Spirit filled lives to remain buoyant amidst the chaotic swirl of everyday life. Bless us that we may be a blessing to others so that along with the church of every age we continue to pray, come, Holy Spirit, come. Amen.

I Am Your Church Budget {Anonymous}
Through me,
Families are launched in marriage,
Persons are baptized,
The young are trained in Christian character.
I provide a Church School and youth activities for your children.
I provide music to enrich your worship, and
Preaching services to help you live more nobly.
I heat and cool your Church building and
Keep it in repair for your comfort and use.
I do your custodial work.
I help train ministers in the seminaries, and
I provide assistance to those who retired after years of faithful service
To God through the Church.
It is through me that the sick find spiritual strength,
The troubled and discouraged are steadied.
I go out into the wide world, preaching the Gospel in every language.
I carry the Word to people of every race, color, and clan.
I am your budget. Believe in me; support me, that I may carry on in your name.
With your help, I make possible all of these services.
As the budget, I am you at work.
But I do need your help. I do need your support.
Without you to under gird me, I am helpless.
You are my foundation, my supporting walls.
I am your money, your prayers, your concern—translated into action.
I can do only what you, through your giving, make it possible for me to do.
